These multicolor plastic toys, which feature a round base and three arched legs supporting an electronic activity center, were sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from November 2002 through April 2003 for approximately $14. The toys are designed to encourage crawling babies to pull themselves up and stand, activating music, lights, and spinning balls when touched.
The recall was issued because the toy can tip over during use, potentially striking falling babies in the head, face, or neck. Playskool has received 44 reports of the toys tipping over, resulting in 26 reports of injuries to babies. These injuries include one minor concussion, as well as various bumps, bruises, black eyes, and cut lips.
