The hazard is that the headboard can separate from the corner post. This separation creates a corner space between the post and the mattress where a child's head or neck could be entrapped. L.A. Baby has received 9 reports of headboard separations, but no injuries have been reported.
The cribs were sold to hotels, daycare centers, and small specialty stores from March 2001 to October 2001 for about $170. Consumers should stop using these cribs immediately and contact L.A.
