Kids II Inc. of Alpharetta, Ga., is recalling about 20,000 Pop Links toys, model 883, with a date code "ND1" molded on the tips of the links. The toys, which come in a variety of bright colors and shapes, were sold in packages of 12 links that snap together to form a chain.

The recall is being issued because the tips on the links can break off, posing a choking hazard to young children. Kids II has received 11 reports of tips breaking, but no injuries have been reported. The toys were sold at mass merchandise and juvenile specialty stores nationwide between June 2001 and November 2001 for about $4.
