Galoob Toys Inc. is recalling approximately 8.9 million Sky Dancers flying dolls sold nationwide from November 1994 through June 2000. The dolls, which were sold in various styles including Pretty Lights, Mini-Sky Dancers, and Fairy Flyers, are propelled by launchers with pull-cords. The packaging indicates the toys are for ages 5 and up and were manufactured in China.

The recall is due to a hazard where the hard plastic dolls can fly rapidly in unpredictable directions, potentially hitting and injuring both children and adults. Galoob has received 170 reports of the dolls striking people, resulting in 150 reported injuries. These injuries include eye injuries such as scratched corneas and temporary blindness, broken teeth, a mild concussion, a broken rib, and facial lacerations requiring stitches.
