The affected product is a 4-lb. vacuum-packed clear plastic package containing “Kirkland Signature Applewood Smoked MASTER CARVE HALF HAM Boneless With Natural Juices” with a Use / Freeze by date of Jan 20 24 and a sticker with lot number 264 - 4. These products bear establishment number “EST. 17823” and were shipped to retail locations in California and Nevada.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. However, consumption of food contaminated with L. monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that primarily affects older adults, persons with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
