These products were identified because they contain FDA-regulated breadcrumb products that were previously recalled by Newly Weds Foods due to concerns about possible Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) contamination.

Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc., located in Topeka, Kansas, determined that the affected ham salad products used the recalled breadcrumbs. FSIS states that there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. However, consumption of food contaminated with Lm can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that primarily affects older adults, persons with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women and their newborns.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. Retailers are also urged not to serve or sell these items.
