The issue was discovered when a retail store employee found soups labeled as chicken noodle and Italian-style wedding soup in the same shipping box. FSIS notes that no confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received. Because the products are no longer available for purchase, a formal recall was not requested, but FSIS is concerned that some units may still be in consumers' refrigerators.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. The items should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. Anyone concerned about an illness should contact a health care provider.
