The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for 110,817 pounds of frozen breaded chicken nugget meal trays produced by Conagra Brands, Inc. The affected products are 7.4 oz. vacuum-packed trays containing BANQUET Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese and a chocolate brownie mix. These specific trays were produced on January 26, 2017, and bear the code 3100080921 with a "BEST IF USED BY" date of July 20, 2018. The recall was initiated after Conagra Brands received notification from a supplier that an ingredient used in the brownie mix may be contaminated with Salmonella. FSIS issued the alert out of an abundance of caution. The affected items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
