Plain-English summary
Wartech Engineering, LLC is recalling certain 2022-2025 SpecialContainer trailers. The recall addresses a potential defect where an incorrect threaded piping fitting may have been installed between the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module and the air tank. This fitting may leak air, which decreases the pneumatic brake pressure.
An air leak can cause the unintentional activation of the brakes. Additionally, reduced brake pressure can increase the distance required to stop. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.
Owners are advised not to tow their trailer until the repairs are completed. Wartech will replace the fitting free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on November 13, 2025. Owners may contact Wartech's customer service at 1-734-429-2002.
