Ford engine block heaters can overheat while plugged in and parked
Ford is recalling certain 2023-2025 Escape, Maverick, Bronco Sport, Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair vehicles with engine block heaters because the heater may overheat when the vehicle is parked and plugged in.

NHTSA states that an overheated engine block heater can increase the risk of a fire.
Dealers will replace the block heater element and inspect the electrical cord, replacing it if necessary, free of charge.
