The hydraulic control unit (HCU) may fail, which can cause the anti-lock brake (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control systems to fail. A loss of these systems can increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the brake HCU, or replace the HCU motor, free of charge. Interim notification letters were mailed on January 9, 2025, with remaining letters anticipated to be mailed in October 2026.
