Genesis vehicles turbocharger oil feed pipe deterioration recall

Hyundai is recalling certain Genesis G70, G80, and G90 vehicles with 3.3-liter turbocharged engines because the left turbocharger oil feed pipe may deteriorate and leak oil, increasing the risk of engine compartment fire. Hyundai will replace the affected pipe free of charge.

Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2017–2022 Genesis G90, 2018–2020 Genesis G80, and 2019–2022 Genesis G70 vehicles equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine. The left turbocharger oil feed pipe in affected vehicles may deteriorate and leak engine oil. An oil leak in the presence of hot engine components can increase the risk of an engine compartment fire.

Hyundai will replace the affected left turbocharger oil feed pipe at no cost to owners. Owners should contact their Hyundai dealer to schedule service or call Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 3, 2024. This recall expands and replaces Hyundai recall number 19V-538; vehicles previously repaired under that earlier recall will need the new remedy completed. The NHTSA campaign number is 24V191000.
