Plain-English summary
Ineos Automotive Americas, LLC is recalling certain 2024 INEOS Grenadier vehicles equipped with the auxiliary switch package relay. During assembly, the relay control wire may have been trapped under the relay power cable connection fastener, potentially damaging the wire insulation.
If the wire insulation is damaged, it can result in an electrical short circuit. A short circuit in this component increases the risk of fire.
Approximately 727 vehicles are affected. Owners will be notified by mail. Ineos dealers will inspect and secure the wiring and repair or replace any damaged wiring at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 25, 2024. Affected owners may contact Ineos customer service at 1-919-296-3626, or call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
