The recall addresses a defect in the electrical system where the main cable from the battery to the fuse panel is under-protected by a 200-amp fuse. This configuration could allow the wiring to overheat in the event of a short circuit.

Wiring that overheats can increase the risk of a fire. Airstream has not reported any accidents or injuries related to this defect.

Dealers will replace the 200-amp fuse with a 50-amp fuse, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 14, 2023.
