Ferrari Recalls SF90 Models for Passenger Air Bag Child Seat Risk

Ferrari North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2021-2023 Ferrari SF90 Stradale and 2022 SF90 Spider hybrid electric vehicles. The recall addresses a defect where the deployment of the passenger air bag may impact a child seat installed on the passenger seat (size M). This condition causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
The potential consequence of this defect is that air bag impact with a child seat can increase the risk of injury to the occupant. The recall affects 13 vehicles in total.
Owners are advised not to use child seats in the vehicle until it is repaired. Dealers will replace the size M passenger seat with a size XL passenger seat, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 21, 2023. The manufacturer's number for this recall is RC 84.
