Travel trailer window glass separation risk in Airstream Basecamp models
Airstream is recalling certain 2017-2022 Basecamp travel trailers because the adhesive bond between the glass and frame of the entry door window can fail, causing glass separation and potentially increasing injury or crash risk.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a vehicle component with a defect that poses potential for injury or crash. No injuries or deaths have been reported, and the hazard is theoretical rather than confirmed. This meets the rubric criterion for a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported.
