Plain-English summary
Hino Motors Sales U.S.A., Inc. is recalling certain 2022-2023 NE7A, NJ7A, NJ7B, and NV7A vehicles equipped with a 50-gallon fuel tank. The recall involves 970 vehicles in total.
The fuel pickup tube may contact the bottom of the tank, which can restrict the uptake of fuel to the engine. This restriction can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the fuel tube free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 19, 2023. Owners may contact Hino's customer service at 1-248-699-9390 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
