Plain-English summary

Reading Truck Body, LLC is recalling certain 2019-2021 Master Mechanic Crane Body & Upfit vehicles. The recall involves 187 vehicles.

The Power Take Off (PTO) Timer Delay Relay module is mounted under the hood instead of in the vehicle cab. This placement subjects the module to moisture, which can lead to corrosion and cause the module to overheat. Overheating of the PTO Timer module increases the risk of a fire.

Dealers will inspect and replace the PTO Timer module, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 13, 2022. Owners may contact Reading's customer service at 1-610-775-3301 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
