2022 Volkswagen Tiguan and Taos Suspension Knuckles Recalled
Volkswagen is recalling certain 2022 and 2021 vehicles because rear suspension knuckles may corrode, crack, and break, potentially causing loss of stability and increasing crash risk.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling certain 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan and Taos vehicles, as well as 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan long wheelbase (LWB) models. The rear suspension knuckles in these vehicles may corrode, crack, and break. A broken rear suspension knuckle can cause loss of vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects approximately 10,119 vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 13, 2022. A second notice will be sent to owners once remedy parts become available.
Owners should contact their Volkswagen dealer to schedule inspection and replacement of the affected rear suspension knuckles once remedy parts become available.
