Seagrave Fire Trucks Recalled for Fuel Tube Cracking and Fire Risk

Plain-English summary
Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC is recalling certain 2019-2021 Marauder, Attacker, and Capitol vehicles equipped with Cummins X12 engines. The recall involves 174 vehicles where the fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors for cylinders four, five, and six may fatigue and crack. This defect can result in a high-pressure fuel leak.
A high-pressure fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. The source text does not report any specific incidents of fire or injury associated with this defect.
Dealers will perform repairs free of charge. For engines with 75 miles or less, vibration isolators will be installed on the fuel tubes. Engines with more than 75 miles will receive new fuel tubes with vibration isolators. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 11, 2022.
