Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2019 Freightliner Classic Cascadia and 2019-2021 Freightliner Cascadia trucks. Approximately 113,085 vehicles are affected.
The drag link taper joint may not have been tightened sufficiently during manufacturing. This could cause the drag link to come loose and separate completely from the steering arm.
If the drag link separates, the affected truck will experience complete loss of steering control. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.
Owners should contact DTNA at 1-800-547-0712 to schedule an inspection and repair of the drag link taper joint, which will be performed free of charge.
