Spartan RV Chassis fuel rail may leak, increasing fire risk

Shyft Group recalls 2017-2022 Spartan RV Chassis K2 and K3 models. A fuel rail defect may cause leaks that pose a fire risk when an ignition source is present.

Shyft Group is recalling certain 2017-2022 Spartan RV Chassis K2 and K3 vehicles. The sealing washer in the high-pressure fuel rail assembly may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the fuel rail to leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire. Owners can contact Shyft Group customer service at 1-800-543-4277 (recall number 21-11) for a remedy.

Dealers will inspect the rail threads and fuel lines and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 25, 2021.
