Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. is recalling certain 2017-2021 Bus and Phaeton vehicles due to a defect in the fuel system. The sealing washer in the high-pressure fuel rail assembly may not seat correctly in the pilot bore, allowing potential fuel leakage.
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source creates a fire hazard. This recall was issued following a report received on April 30, 2021. Approximately 3,198 vehicles are potentially affected.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661 to schedule a free inspection and repair. Tiffin will work with Cummins to inspect the rail threads and replace the rail and fuel lines if damage is found. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 11, 2021.
