2021 Newmar Ventana motorhomes recalled for loose brake caliper bolts

Newmar is recalling 2021 Ventana and Kountry Star motorhomes with incorrectly tightened brake caliper mounting bolts that could reduce brake effectiveness and increase crash risk.

Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2021 Ventana and Kountry Star motorhomes due to a brake system defect. One of six brake caliper mounting bolts on the driver side steer axle may have been incorrectly tightened during manufacturing.

The loose bolt could cause other caliper bolts to loosen as well. If the caliper bolts are not sufficiently tightened, they may not provide adequate clamping force between the brake caliper and brake anchor plate, which reduces brake effectiveness and increases the risk of a crash.

Owners should contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300 to schedule a free repair. Dealers will inspect and repair the brake system at no charge. The recall repair began on April 12, 2021.
