Incorrect Tire Pressure Labels on 2020-2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Certain 2020-2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles with 19-inch wheels have incorrect tire pressure information on their labeling. This could lead to improper tire inflation and loss of vehicle control.
What this means for you
Minor labeling or packaging issue, or a voluntary precautionary recall. Risk of harm is low but real — follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Our severity reasoning: This is a labeling error with no reported injuries or accidents. Although incorrect tire pressures could theoretically cause loss of vehicle control and crash risk, the remedy is straightforward (relabel), and the hazard remains theoretical rather than demonstrated.
Plain-English summary
Certain 2020-2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with 19-inch wheels are being recalled due to incorrect tire pressure information printed on the tire inflation pressure label and tire placard label. These vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, which governs tire selection and rims.
If tires are inflated to the incorrect pressures shown on the label, this could result in loss of vehicle stability and control, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects approximately 1,087 vehicles.
Land Rover dealers will apply the correct tire pressure labels free of charge. Owners should contact their Land Rover dealer or Land Rover customer service at 1-800-369-1000 to schedule service.
