Airstream, Inc. is recalling certain 2018-2019 Interstate motorhomes. The recall addresses a defect where the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) label may indicate the incorrect capacity. This error can allow the vehicle to be overloaded, which increases the risk of a crash. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
The recall affects 89 units of the 2018-2019 Airstream Interstate model. Airstream will notify owners, and dealers will provide new OCCC labels with the correct occupant and cargo carry capacity free of charge. The recall began on February 7, 2020.
