Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2019 Flagstaff and Rockwood recreational trailers. The recall involves a defect in the break-away safety switch wiring, which may be improperly connected. As a result, the trailer's electric brakes may fail to apply if the trailer disconnects from the tow vehicle.
The inability of the trailer to apply brakes during a separation event can increase the risk of a crash. Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a new wiring harness to maintain power supply to the brake system at no cost to the owner. The recall began on February 25, 2019.
