Consequently, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 222, "School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection."

SynTec will notify the affected bus manufacturer, and dealers for that manufacturer will install an additional impact material between the re-bond back and the vinyl back cover, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.
