What this means for you

Plain-English summary
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017 Acura NSX vehicles. The recall involves 793 vehicles where road vibrations may cause metal screws securing the printed circuit board for the high-mounted center brake light to loosen. This can cause the screws to contact the circuitry, potentially blowing the brake light fuse and resulting in the brake lights not functioning. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Brake lights that do not work increase the risk of a crash. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the center high mount brake light free of charge. The recall began on November 2, 2018. Owners may contact Acura Client Relations at 1-844-682-2872. Honda's number for this recall is B2B. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
