Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2016-2017 GLC300, GLC300 4MATIC, and GLC43 4MATIC vehicles. The recall involves 8,134 vehicles that may have misadjusted headlights. This defect causes the low beam headlights to insufficiently illuminate the roadway, failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108.
An insufficiently illuminated roadway may increase the risk of a crash. The recall began on January 12, 2018. Dealers will inspect the headlamp adjustment and adjust it as necessary, free of charge.
