The recall involves a defect in the independent front suspension (IFS) modules where the ball joints can loosen and separate.
A separated ball joint can lead to a partial loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash. KME will notify owners, and dealers will inspect, clean, and secure the ball joint free of charge. The recall began on May 8, 2017.
