Kalmar Recalls 2014-2016 Ottawa T2 Vehicles for Electrical Fire Risk

Kalmar Solutions, LLC is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Ottawa T2 vehicles manufactured between August 16, 2014, and November 17, 2016. The affected vehicles are equipped with a chassis power board that is not protected from moisture.

Exposure to moisture may result in an electrical short, which can increase the risk of a fire. Kalmar issued an interim notification to owners on February 7, 2017, and the recall began on March 3, 2017.

Dealers will replace the chassis power distribution center with sealed modules free of charge. This remedy also addresses the safety issue from recall 16V-073, superseding that campaign.
