Plain-English summary
Kibbi, LLC is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Renegade Vienna vehicles manufactured between February 9, 2015, and June 1, 2016, and 2014-2016 Renegade Villagio vehicles manufactured between March 4, 2013, and June 6, 2016. The recall involves 293 vehicles.
The defect involves the rear inner tires, where valve stem extensions may inadvertently be loosened while checking or filling the tires. This can result in a slow air leak, leading to underinflated tires, which increases the risk of tire failure and a crash.
Kibbi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the valve stem extensions free of charge. The recall began on July 6, 2016. Owners may contact Kibbi customer service at 1-574-966-0196 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
