The affected vehicles are equipped with Pelican 9410L flashlights (part numbers 9410-021-245 or 9410-021-110) that use lithium ion battery packs (part number 9413-301-001).

The recall is necessary because these specific flashlight battery packs may overheat. If the battery pack overheats, it can increase the risk of a fire. The recall began on June 16, 2016.
