The defect involves J-Brackets on the driver's seat that may be missing welds. This condition could allow the seat belt anchorage assembly to separate from the J-Bracket. If this separation occurs, the bus driver may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Setra will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seats to determine if any welds are missing. Any J-Bracket found to be missing welds will be removed and replaced free of charge.
