The defect is caused by an incorrect shift cable bracket and improper shift cable adjustment. This issue allows the vehicle to be shifted out of 'PARK' without the driver applying the brakes. If the vehicle is shifted into reverse without the brakes being applied, it may unintentionally move, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners on behalf of Thor Motor Coach. Ford dealers will replace the transmission shift control bracket and adjust the transmission shift cable free of charge.
