These vehicles were manufactured between April 14, 2014, and November 4, 2015, and are equipped with specific Haldex Life Seal Type 30/30 Long Stroke Air Brake Actuators manufactured between January 9, 2014, and October 28, 2014.

The recall addresses a defect where the internal rubber diaphragm in the parking brake section of the actuator may not be completely attached to the actuation mechanism. If this occurs, internal leakage may trap air pressure in the parking brake section, preventing the actuator from fully releasing. This can induce brake drag, leading to overheated wheelend service brakes and an increased risk of fire.

Utility will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected actuators free of charge. The recall began on April 9, 2015. Owners may contact Utility customer service at 1-800-423-6591 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
