Plain-English summary
M.B. Sturgis Inc. is recalling certain Auto Changeover Regulators, Model Numbers 108260 and 108263, used for propane gas cylinders. These units were manufactured between May 1, 2015, and June 25, 2015. The recall involves 1,456 affected units.
In the affected regulators, propane gas may leak into the plastic gas level indicator window. This exposure can cause the window to degrade and crack. If the indicator window cracks, propane gas may leak out, which increases the risk of a fire.
M.B. Sturgis has notified the recreational vehicle manufacturers that purchased these regulators. The RV manufacturers will conduct recalls to remove the regulators free of charge.
