The recall affects part numbers 1392900 (two-bike trunk mount), 1393100 (four-bike hitch mount), and 6314400 (four-bike hitch mount). A total of 2,724 units are affected.

The affected bike carriers have cradles that may have been molded incorrectly. This defect can cause the cradle to rip and fail. If the cradle fails, a bicycle on the cradle may partially or fully fall from the rack, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
