The recall addresses vehicles that may have incorrect values for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) printed on the safety certification label. As a result, these vehicles do not conform to Part 567, "Certification."

If a vehicle is loaded to the specifications listed on the incorrect label, tire failure may occur, which increases the risk of a crash. The defect is limited to the labeling of weight ratings and does not involve a structural mechanical failure of the vehicle components themselves.

Honda will notify owners, and dealers will install a corrected certification label free of charge. The recall was expected to begin on October 21, 2014.
