Volvo Recalls 2014-2015 Trucks Due to Brake Caliper Bolt Torque Issue
Volvo is recalling 3,175 model year 2014-2015 VAH, VNL, and VNM trucks because disc brake caliper bolts may not be tightened to specification, increasing crash risk.

Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 VAH, VNL, and VNM trucks manufactured between March 4, 2013, and April 28, 2014. The recall involves 3,175 vehicles.
The defect is caused by bolts holding the disc brake caliper to the backing plate not being tightened to the specified torque. This may allow the disc brake caliper to detach from the backing plate. If this occurs, it can affect the brakes to that particular wheel, causing the vehicle to pull to the left or right, which increases the risk of a crash.
Volvo will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and tighten the bolts to specification, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 10, 2014. Owners may contact Volvo customer service at 1-800-528-6586 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
