The affected part numbers are 20-9328-00 for the driver-side and 20-9327-00 for the passenger-side.

The recall is issued because excessive heat temperatures around the headlight bulb and reflector unit may diminish the output of the headlight and cause smoke, melting, and fire. This condition causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108. The diminished light output may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash, while the excessive heat increases the risk of a fire.

Genera notified its distributors on August 22, 2014. Distributors will attempt to identify owners that purchased the affected headlamp assemblies.
