Parker Trailer Sales, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2012 trailers equipped with Dexter electric/hydraulic (E/H) brake actuator pumps. The affected models include the GNTD10240, GNTD9633, HP7720, GNTD9630, GNTD9632, and GNTD9635.
Some of these pumps may not have been properly heat treated. This condition can cause premature wear of critical components, rendering the unit inoperable. Since the actuator provides braking power to the trailer brakes, failure can result in the loss of braking effort, increasing the risk of a crash.
