Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain model year 2010 and 2011 Freightliner Argosy, Cascadia, and Coronado heavy trucks. These vehicles were manufactured between January 4, 2010, and November 30, 2010, and are equipped with 40K Airliner suspensions. The recall covers a total of 4,977 vehicles.
The rear suspension may fracture through the center bolt hole after vehicle assembly. If this defect goes undetected, the rear end of the spring may separate from the vehicle over time. This creates a hazardous road debris situation and increases the risk of a crash.
