The defect involves sheet metal rain visors located over the pushout side window on the left side of the bus. These visors may prevent the emergency exit window from opening sufficiently, which fails to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 217 regarding bus emergency exits and window retention and release.
In the event of an emergency, passengers could be injured if they are unable to quickly exit the bus. Blue Bird will notify owners, and dealers will repair the buses free of charge.
