Plain-English summary

Carlisle Tire and Wheel Company (CETS) is recalling certain LRD USA trail tires, size 20.5/8.0-10, because they fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 109, "New Pneumatic Tires." The tires were improperly marked on one sidewall as Load Range "E" when they should have been marked as Load Range "D."

The incorrect markings may lead owners to purchase tires that are not appropriate for their specific vehicle application. Using incorrectly sized tires could lead to vehicle overloading or other consequences that increase the risk of tire failure, potentially leading to a vehicle crash.
