The recall was initiated due to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) deviations. A lot of this hand sanitizer was found to contain methanol, a hazardous substance. The FDA has determined that 19 additional lots were manufactured under the same conditions as the contaminated lot and are therefore also being recalled. The affected lot numbers are 133470, 133471, 133472, 133473, 133474, 133476, 133477, 133478, 133479, 133480, 133481, 133482, 133483, 137731, 137732, 137733, 137734, 139322, and 143327.

Approximately 3,441 gallons of the product have been distributed nationwide throughout the United States.
