Levi Strauss & Co. is aware of one report of several snaps becoming detached from a dress, but no injuries have been reported.

The affected dresses were sold at department stores nationwide, including Macy's, Mervyn's, and J.C. Penney, from April 1996 through February 1997 for about $25. The dresses are made in Indonesia and have a sewn-in label at the neck that reads in part, "LEVI'S ...100% COTTON...MADE IN INDONESIA..." The back of the label displays the product code and care instructions.

Consumers should stop using these dresses immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a full refund.
