Only Dualit-Plus electronic toasters with the letter "E" as the fifth digit of the model number are included in this recall; models with manually operated timers are not affected.

Consumers who own a recalled Dualit-Plus electronic toaster should immediately unplug the unit and call Waring toll-free at (800) 831-3960. Waring will send a package to ship the toaster back free-of-charge and will arrange for pickup at the owner's convenience. Owners can choose to have the toaster repaired, in which case they will receive a $25 Williams-Sonoma gift certificate, or receive a refund. Customers who purchased the toaster through the Williams-Sonoma catalog have been notified by mail.
