The company stated that there have been no reports of injuries or fires to date as a result of this switch failure.
Consumers should check the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster for the model number D126T and a five-letter and digit date code ranging from EL101 through EL158. If the toaster matches these specifications, consumers should unplug the appliance and contact Salton-Toastmaster for instructions on returning the unit for a new toaster.
